OSINT Master

Training programme

Demonstrating your OSINT skills

You have learned how to find good, high quality, reliable and representative information in the open source information landscape. You have learned the necessary skills to go in-depth searching for information. You have learned the skills to distinguish good information from bad information. You have learned to setup and execute a detailed search plan to be sure you will not miss any essential information. You have learned the skills to do it safely and securely.

It is now time to demonstrate your newly acquired capabilities.

The OSINT Master training programme is the continuation of the OSINT Pathfinder. In the Master, groups of participants will get the opportunity to demonstrate their OSINT skills by solving a complex scenario by applying all the lessons learned during the OSINT Pathfinder. The scenario exercise will take 8 hours after which each group will present results to the plenary. The idea is to prove that the proposed systematic, planned and structured OSINT methodology actually works.

In addition, the research in open sources should be safe, that is, protecting the identity of the researcher and safeguarding his/hers information profile and information position by applying important security measures.

Three days of hard work, fully supported by extensive and detailed documentation to go on your own. But rest assured, since the real work for you starts after the training has ended, the teachers will be available for a year after the training for questions, issues and solutions.

The team

The programme will be delivered by the OSINT team:

Arno H.P. Reuser will be the primary teacher for the programme.

Marc van Oudheusden is a specialist in intelligence analysis techniques and will deliver the parts on content analysis and source analysis.

Ms. Marjon van Dijk is the programme manager. She will take care of the overall organisation of the programme, customer care and much more…

What does it look like

The programme takes three full days and essentially consists of three main parts. Part one is a repetition of the lessons learned and “how to’s” from the OSINT Pathfinder. Part two is some additional lessons on top of the Pathfinder, mainly aimed at intelligence analysis skills. Part three is the scenario exercise itself.

Part 1

Lessons learned from the Pathfinder. Requirement analysis and problem deconstruction, open sources, the repertorium, semantics, collection plan and search strategies.

Part 2

Critical reading, source analysis, intelligence writing skills, presenting techniques (mindmap)

Requirements for the scenario exercises, deliverables, formatting, time frame etc.

Part 3

Group exercise. 8 hours. After that, presentation of results and group discussions on lessons learned, the way ahead, outlook etc.

The programme will be concluded with a hand-signed, personalised OSINT Master Certificate, beautifully framed, and a PDF version for your personal records as well.

The total price for the OSINT Master is 1.948,- incl. 21% VAT (btw)

This includes the full course, OSINT training manual, handouts, quick reference sheets, online training website, after-care with one year access to the helpdesk, all catering, lunch, and of course an invitation to the famous Icebreaker Sessions.
