Very interesting, this Google BARD AI chatbot. I asked this question about a week ago, the response is a total fantasy. It assumes that ‘competition’ is the Champions League, and it returns information I never asked for.
I do not believe that this has anything to do with ‘prompting’. The answer is simply wrong. A much better answer would have been if it asked me what competition I mean here, and refer me to the proper, reliable, source.
I strongly suggest for OSINT to be very careful with services like this. Check check and double check the answers for correctness, facts and balance.
My suggestion would be to only use AI chatbots to get suggestions for further exploration, or, to ask questions that are not really harmful. Like asking for a proposal polite e-mail to file a complaint about something. Or recipes. Or holiday suggestions or something. Take care of asking it to compose summaries, since these are always biased.
For now I stick to what has worked for the last 30 years: OSINT. That is: systematic, planned, structured, representative, balanced, validated, accountable, secure.
